Sunday just gone, I was preaching both in the morning and the evening, in different places. The morning one was a bit short notice, and I haven’t got bags of time at the moment, so I did the same sermon in both venues. God was Homeless for 300 Years

The other evening, I heard someone in our church talk about the building as the “House of God.” Clearly this is wrong. Amazingly, in God’s providence,
I’m preaching this Sunday and one of my points in the sermon I’m re-using is on how we turn God into a pagan deity by saying that “we’re going to church to meet with God” which is essentially the same sort of point. PART TWO – THE PRACTICE OF APOSTOLIC, CHRISTOCENTRIC PREACHING
The Epistle to the Hebrews as an Apostolic Preaching Paradigm

SAINT ILLTUD
Also spelt Illtyd, this one has a place named after him. It’s Llantwit Major, or in Welsh, Llanilltud Fawr. He died sometime in the middle of the 6th century and was probably born in the century before.
